Bling & lace Frame & a july kit

First of all i want to share with you this bling lace frame
Photobucket

You'l need:
A lace edge punch {any will work}
Light weight paper
Double sided sticky tape
Chosen PP {pattern paper}
Any clear stickles {or you can use a colour that match's you pp?}
Rhinestones

You can use this in more ways than one, you can use it to frame a picture in a more sturdy wooden/plastic photo display frame or use your imagination, the idea's are endless, i chose to present it on a scrapbook page as it is flat enought to do so.

First i chose my lace punch & cut my strips of normal light weight paper
Photobucket

Scrunch them up in your hand & then pull them back out
Photobucket

I then pre-creased them, but you can also do this as you are going along?
Photobucket

On the back of your chosen PP prepare your double sided sticky tape, by placing it along the edge of the PP, remember to stick it to the BACK of you PP!!
Photobucket

Peel back the backing tape & place your lace paper onto the PP
Photobucket

Continue to do this, placing the lace paper ajacent to the last & cut off any access, turn you PP over & it should look like this
Photobucket

Now on the front, line the edge of the PP with stickles
Photobucket

& add the bling rhinestones
Photobucket

Your frame is now ready for picture's, or in my case my scrapbook page
Photobucket

I did a blue one also, i sprayed the paper with tattered angels silver suger before scrunching them up.
Photobucket

Hope enjoyed my tutorial & now i have to share with you all these wonderful goodies!! What's this?? Its the july kit from "my scrapbook nook" http://myscrapbooknook.org/forum/forum.php

Making Something from Nothing.....!

Hi, it is Jennifer here! My first post, well I hope you like it. I am always trying to use found items or "recycle" items that are discarded. I call it Making Something from Nothing!! well almost nothing....so the other day we were having a picnic and having some pasta salad. After we finished I looked at the container the pasta came in and said to my husband I was taking them home to make something...he rolled his eyes...so here it is...

Starting with the container and some cork..

I gathered up the rest of the items I wanted to use. Ribbon, serviettes, buttons, fabric leaves, stamp, tag and nestability and machine.

First I started by tracing the lid of the container on the cork and cut it out to fit the lid. And glued it in place.

Then I cut out the serviettes with a scalloped die, using 3 different size and made three of each size.

Then I took each cut out and scrunched it into a ball and un-rolled it. Then several layers were glued together.

Then I added the ribbon to the container. Stamped the butter fly image on the tag and glued that down. One it was dry I added the leaves to the top as well.

Then I added the flower, put a button and an embelli in the middle and added an additional button to the site and TADA....Something out of Nothing! I added some jelly beans to it and it is sitting on my desk. I am sure it won't stay filled for too long.

Well that is it for now. Hope everyone has fun creating some altered items! Happy Canada Day for those that live in Canada, Happy July 4th for those in the US and Happy "whatever" day "where ever" you live in the world.

Love Jennifer
